    Arrow How Is LayeredTech?

How is LayeredTech doing now? I see they are adding new stuff.. are things getting better? I have seen many different reviews.. and I am still looking for a second server.

    How is their network speed/uptime/reliability?
How is their response time for reboots?
How is their support for network/hardware related issues?
How is their hardware, and systems?
Would you consider them a good reliable provider for web services anywhere in the world?
Do they have any peering problems.. (such as SoftLayer and Abovenet)?

Would you recommend Savvis or Databank?

    Thank you for your input.

    Go for LT
Their network is amazing (speed + uptime wise)
They reboot your server fast, it usually takes them 10-20 minutes to reboot the server.
Their hardware support is good, but not the fastest in the industry.
The hardware they provide has been great for me, never any problems.
Go with savvis, it seems to be more reliable.
    Good luck,

Their Savvis network is pretty quick, around 45ms from Maryland, which is on par, if not better than other Texas providers. I've only had one problem with Savvis in the six months I've been there, so I would say they have good uptime and are reliable.

It's ok. A reboot takes between fifteen and thirty minutes, but sometimes may be completed faster. They have said they are installing remote reboot ports though.

I've never had a network related issue where LT was to blame, but for most hardware related issues they will swap your HDD's to a new chassis instead of spending lots of time testing each part. This seems to have worked fine for me.

Most dual processor servers are HP servers, the rest I believe are regular "white box" servers.

    Not that I've noticed.

I'm happy in Savvis, and Databank has had some connection issues in the past. It seems to be stable now though.

I love LT, just don't fall for those who are constantly bashing the company or simply cannot manage their own server and turn around and use WHT as a complaints forum

Thanks for pointing out that. I have specific project need which demands OpenBSD based UNIX server so I might end up leasing one or two boxes with them.
