Thread: GNAX problems?

    GNAX problems?

Is anyone having trouble getting to their servers at GNAX right now?

Yep, I'm putting a ticket in right now, but if it's not just me, I'm sure they're working on it

I just had 2 servers go down. The APC for one of them is down but the other one is up.

I checked at the GNAX forum and no announcements.

I hope they don't take too long getting things back up.

Yes, I talked on the phone with JaguarPC and they told me GNAX was having some major issues. They told me it wouldn't take too long to be fixed.

Someone started a thread at the GNAX forum: http://www.tranxactglobal.com/forum/...ead.php?t=1128

I'd hate to have 36 servers to worry about being down!

    Hey Greg.

What has GNAX said? I've got many sites in my JaguarPC VPS

yeah and seems other networks are also affected , must be some massive routing issue somewhere. Our 69.73 range is split between houston and atlanta, all the atlanta ones are out right now. I dont pretend to be a network engineer or know the details, but I'll no doubt be replying about this for days when I know.

We currently have one of our core routers down, our 2 most senior techs are on site working on the issue. We have spare parts for all routers so the issue will be resolved shortly.

Any ETA and what specific network segments are impacted

Wow. I was bitching because my server monitor lost track of my servers for 2 minutes around 6:57 and sent me 40 SMS messages. Went right back up for me though. Looked like the culpret was globalnet-103907-atl-bb1.c.telia.net in my case.

Note that my servers are in GNAX's facility, but hosted with someone else.

Well a core router shouldnt cause this if hsrp or some other realtime failover was in place really. But your right, theres making a guarantee of 100% , and then theres delivering. When you cant you have to fall back on your guarantee and try to set it right by your clients. Its not unusal, just sucks.

I believe anyone using GNAX equipment to provide routing/x-connects, etc., is probably down right now. Could be wrong though. I am pretty sure this isn't Jag's fault.

Greg, in GNAX forum they asked for trace routes, I registered but as new user couldn't post. Here's a trace from Lima, Peru I did a few minutes ago, could you put it in that thread? Maybe helps:
